AMBACH - LITTLE PARADISE RIGHT AT YOUR DOORSTEP

Those who move to Munich often go to the lakes at the weekend. There is plenty of this in the Munich area - and they are all literally rich: in water, biodiversity and the possibilities to relax on them and on their banks and to center yourself completely. The crown jewel among the diamonds is Lake Starnberg, which incidentally was called Würmsee until 1962. It is only the fifth largest lake in Germany, but due to its enormous depth - it reaches a maximum of almost 130 meters - it is the second richest in water.

In addition to various bathing opportunities, countless sights invite you to visit. What would the Fox among the relocation consultants be without the recommendation of a gem that the real Munich especially appreciates: Ambach, the place with a landing stage on the lake, actually consists of just one street and one of the most beautiful inns in Bavaria, the “Fischmeister”. Many artists, writers and painters lived in and around Ambach - including Loriot and Wolfgang Hildesheimer.

But also Patricia Highsmith for a short time, who stayed here in very modest circumstances in 1952. According to legend, it was here that she invented her character Tom Ripley.
